The multiple-award-winning PEFTI Film Institute has partnered with Sony to create an impactful short film, which would feature people living with Down syndrome, aimed at increasing awareness about Down syndrome across Nigeria.
The ground-breaking film, addressing the theme “End the Stereotypes: Economic Empowerment”, would be premiered at Down Syndrome Foundation Nigeria (DSFN)’s Fundraising & Award Night taking place on 19 October, 2024, in Lagos.
Abiola Adenuga, Managing Director, PEFTI, said; “PEFTI is dedicated to conscientious creativity, and we are committed to collaborating with reputable organisations to effect positive change across the nation.
“In addition to our collaboration with SONY on this short film, our overall relationship is one of the many partnerships which PEFTI has with several Local and International Organisations which gives our students the extra advantage in their learning process.”
Launched in 2004, PEFTI offers 2-year National Innovative Diploma courses in Film & Television Production, Performing & Media Arts, and Music Technology; as well as 3-month, and 6-month Professional Practical Training in Acting & Presentation, Makeup, Digital Photography, Cinematography, Film Editing, Music, and others; at two campuses: 5, Joy Avenue, Ajao Estate, off Airport Road, Lagos State; and 32, Oyo Road, Coca-Cola/Leventis Area, Ibadan, Oyo State.
